"Bees are sorta symbolic of humanity's necessity in trying to figure out a way to work with and exist amongst nature.  We depend on them, and we have to figure a way to treat them well and make sure they go on, because we cant continue without them.  Also the bumblebee is probably one of the goofiest looking insects out there, they're community guys, they spend their days making sure everyone is fed and survives, and they rarely sting people, even though they can multiple times."
